We are beginning our Summer Pruning of your landscapes.  Please remeber that those plants which bloom on old wood (last years wood-azaleas, camelias, loropetalum among others) should not be pruned after flower buds have been set in late June or July/August.  Turf herbicides must not be applied which will inhibit seed germination when you do the fall overseeding.  Some chemicals have a 12 week waiting period.  Bermuda turfs should be fed again now.

Japanese Beetles, White Flies, Mealy Bugs and fire ants all seem to have a big appetite this summer.  Nut Grass/Nut Sedge is being spread from your untreated neighbors to your yard.

Hope everyone is having a great summer and somehow yall are keeping cool.
